FAQ’s

1. Why stay at FloridaGoldVilla instead of using a hotel?

FloridaGoldVilla offers you spacious, luxurious accomodation with the flexibility of being in a ‘home away from home’ at an affordable price.   No packing of bags for your trip to the communal pool – you have your own private pool.

2. Can I arrive any day and how long can I stay?

You are welcome to arrive any day and stay for as many nights as you wish – our minimum stay is 4 nights. During Xmas and Easter periods our minimum stay is 7 nights. We offer a 10% discount for stays of 21 nights or more. A cleaning charge applies for stays of less than 7 nights.

3. How many guests does the villa sleep?

We choose to sleep a maximum of 8 guests plus one infant under two years old (upon date of arrival). This number is strictly enforced by our management company. Only guests listed on the booking form may stay overnight in the villa. If you breach this term of the rental agreement you will be asked to leave the premises.

4. How do we find the villa and get the keys?

Following the clearance of your final payment – you will be provided with keybox & home alarm codes and any directions that you may need. The keys to our home are kept outside the front door in a key-safe – no having to go to a management office or meeting anyone – you go straight to the villa.

5. What is provided in the villa?

The Villa is completely furnished & equipped with linens, towels, pool towels & all the kitchen utensils we feel you will need.   The laundry room has an iron and ironing board.  Each of the bathrooms has it’s own hair dryer & the master also has a free standing vanity mirror.   There will be an initial supply of toilet paper, soap & garbage bags – replacement of these items during your stay will be your responsibility.

6. Is maid service included?

Our home will be cleaned prior to your arrival and will be cleaned again on your departure – a ‘maid service’ can be arranged for an additional fee – this service can be arranged at the time of booking.   For your cleaning convenience the villa is equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher, vacuum, brushes, mop etc.

7. Do you provide baby equipment?

We provide a highchair, ‘Pack ‘n’ Play cot and basic stroller. We recommend you bring your own linen for the cot if it makes you feel more comfortable.

8. Is the pool heated?

Pool/Spa heat is not included in the rental rate but is available as an optional extra.   The Pool & Spa heaters are designed to maintain appropriate water temperatures throughout the year – however severe cold winter temperatures may result in lower water temperatures.   Pool heat is recommended between October & March.

9. Does the pool have a safety fence?

The pool has a safety fence which will be erected before you arrive for the added safety of young children. Children should not be left unattended in the pool area at any time.

10. What about pets and smoking?

For the comfort of all guests, neither pets nor smoking are permitted in the villa.

11. Do we need a rental car?

It is highly recommended – when you read 10 minutes to Disney we mean 10 minutes by car.   For our UK/European guests – US fuel is cheap compared to Europe – please note when booking that US cars have smaller boots than European models.

12. What is the weather like in Florida?

Spring – March to May     Temperatures are in the upper 80’s with lows possibly in the 50’s.   Plenty of sunshine but Spring showers are common.   You should be comfortable in swimwear, shorts and light clothing for the day and sweaters for the cooler evenings

Summer – June to September     Daily temperatures can be in the 90’s so cover up with a high factor sun cream and drink plenty of water.   Thunderstorms possible in the late afternoon but usually last no more than an hour and can be refreshing.   Why not return to the villa during the afternoon or visit the malls, returning to the theme parks or attractions in the evening.

Fall – October to December     Still plenty of sunshine with highs in the 80’s and lows in the 60’s – ideal weather for those who don’t want the extreme heat of the summer.

Winter – December to February     Temperatures are cooler but regularly in the 70’s during the day with lows of around mid 50’s.   You will still need swimwear and light clothing but also take sleeved clothing or jackets for the cooler evenings.
